This is indeed an excellent question. You see, many people out there keep hearing about influencers and how important they are to the world today. However, if you ask a person doesn’t really have a lot of opinions when it comes to online marketing, they are most likely not going to be able to answer to you exactly what it is that an influencer dance. Most people will tell you the exact same thing. They are people affecting public opinion.
Although it is true that, influencers actually do that, they do affect public opinion, it is not the only thing they do. Being an influencer is actually a job. Basically you’re working as some sort of a promotional item for people. Let us explain to you exactly what we mean. Let’s say for example that you are a household product influencer. That means that, your job is all about household products. You test them, you show them to people, you talk about them you criticise them if necessary.
That means, you are going to be approached by companies that sell household products. Now, those companies actually have a very specific household product influencer marketing strategy that is all about the way they are going to be able to approach people like you and get you to sell their products. The idea here is for you to make sure that, you’re not going to sell any kind of random product simply because of the fact that you want to make money. This is not what an influencer is all about.
If you want to become an influencer then you need to be completely honest with the people that follow you. If you believe that the product is not good then you’re definitely going to want to inform people about it. Using it and perhaps promoting it just because of the fact that the company might be paying you a little bit of extra is not an influencer, it’s a salesperson.
This is the main difference between an influencer and a person working in sales. You do not want to simply sell products, you want to sell specific product that will be good for the people following you and that you will definitely be leaving. This is what will separate you from the rest of the salesmen and saleswomen. You believe in what you do it’s not just the job for you.
